Gabby turns 8 tomorrow. She'll have been with me for six months on December 4th. If anybody hasn't figured it out, I adore this dog more than words can say. I thought a few photos were necessary...
This is one of the first photos I saw of her. Our regional rescue coordinator went out to take pictures of the dogs and learn a little about them. I honestly took her because I figured I could be a good medical advocate for her. And because I thought she was so ugly that nobody else would.

And this is her mom, Dakota. I learned that mom and dad are both still alive. I'd really like to get a family photo as they're only a couple hours away.

She has gone from 70# to 55# in almost 6 months. She's still got about another 10# to go, but I can't believe how much different she looks (and acts) already. I'm constantly amazed that she can run. She had so much fat when I got her that she couldn't even trot, because her elbows didn't have enough room to come back and were stopped by fat.
