I am not going to lie. I am starting to get a little frustrated with my puppy, a soft coated wheaten terrier, and his biting habits. He is teething right now and he is 10 weeks old. He has lots of little sharp teeth, and when he bites and say no and then I give him a toy to chew on. However, what I am having trouble with is that sometimes when i am holding him he nips and bites at my face. This is NOT a habit that I want him to pick up!!! He has already bit my lip and my chin. What can I do??????????

When he nips you like this, I would correct him, and end the play right then. Go separate yourself from the pup and ignore him for a bit. This will teach him that nipping ends play time and it is not accepted. It may take a little time, but everyone in the family needs to be consistent and follow this practice to break him of it.

Please do a web search on BITE INHIBITION to find out how to deal with the mouthing issues with your puppy.

Pay close attention to anything from Ian Dunbar.

Let me know if you cannot find what you need and I will post it for you.
