After my first three dogs, I never had such a connection as I did with Didi. My first dog, was pretty much an outside dog. M 2nd was a pomeranian, I loved her too bits, but I was young and things like the spice girls were sometimes more of my interest than the dog. My 3rd dog was also an outside dog, and was never the great circus dog I wanted him to be [again I was young].

Then in the 6th grade my mom said she had a ''dog book'' for me. But the twist was it was outside. I sort of knew where this was going, but I didn't want to believe it. I haven't had a dog in such a long time. And there she was this small little chihuahua looking dog, wearing this red collar, tounge out, wailing her little short tail. I remember I was watching Zoobomafoo on PBS [i love children programs, even today] and the blanket I gave to her to sleep on was Winnie The Pooh. She was all over me, licking and very hyper. She came with a name I could hardly pronounce, let alone spell. I wanted to name her princess, but my sister INSISTED [like in EVERYTHING] she was named dee dee after the sister of the cartoon that was on [dexter's lab on cartoon network].

I took her for walks, to parks, everywhere I went, she went. My interest for dogs grew more and more. I was always interested in dogs, but not as much as when I got Didi. I took LOADS of pictures. I celebrated holidays with her, dressed her up for halloween, got her gifts for christmas. She was very spoiled, and I loved her dearly. She also helped me go through lots of of my life's drama. She was just the best. Even when I added new furry additions to the family, she continued to be my #1 in everything I did.

Then December 05' she started having problems with her eye. Turns out she had glaucoma. Then it progressively got worst and progressed to the other eye. I hate myself for not having the money to of fixed this, but I could not see her suffer anymore, and I stop beinging selfish just wanting her to lead a long life. Knowing she had a decent good quality of life, I put her to sleep this Feb. 2008. Her last day was a good one, full of her favorite things. KFC, a walk, a car ride, and scratchies on her neck. Though it'll be the last time I ever did any of these things with her, I'm just glad she's not suffering anymore.

I miss her dearly and cry myself to sleep some nights wishing she was still with me, as the spunky, hyper, sweet girl that was placed here by God. I thank him for giving me the best joy of my life and I hope I gave her even more joy than what she gave me. I love her so much, I miss her dearly. I hope one day we can be reunited and I can give her all the scratchies and food she wants, just to be licked by her one more time and just to cuddle with the greatest dog I ever had. She wasn't the best behaved, trust me she was no where near perfect, but there was something about her that made her dear and special to my heart. No dog will ever take her place in my heart.

((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) You did right by your little grrrrl. One of these days, when you're not expecting it, you'll look into a pair of big soft puppy eyes and you'll know that Didi's sent you someone to make you laugh again and to give you puppy kisses for her.

Thank you all for your kind words, this really made my day. There wasn't really anyone there for me when she passed on, it was all about the new puppies. I'm glad you guys cared about her as much as I did.
