Ipod Issue:Techies help!

I'm pretty sure it's the Ipod Touch itself. I have tried other charges, & I have tried other sources(laptop, & other outlets) & it didn't do anything.

I dropped it back in october,which made the screen crack. Yesterday, it flew into the snow(someone kid ran into be, I fell, & everything went flying). The ipod got thrown a few feet into the snow. I really didn't think anything about it, it has dropped in the snow before.

When I first charged it, there was no problems.But as it got later into the day, I started having issues with it charging. It would say "charging does not support this accessory".Eventually, it wouldn't even charge.

It could be as simple as the last time you dropped it, no moisture made its way in, and this time it did. Especially if the screen is cracked, that can allow moisture to seep into bad places.

Apple products need to be looked at by Apple specialists. They're proprietary that way.

Shop around locally to see if there's an Apple dealer near you that might be able to help.

In the future, whenever you think a piece of electronics may have gotten wet, submerge it in a bowl of rice overnight. The rice absorbs any residual moisture. It's not 100% effective or anything, but it's saved my DSLR twice (once from rain, once from falling into the dog water bowl) and my cell phone several times.

(You can try it with the iPod to see if it works, but usually after use and being turned on, any short-circuit damage will have been done.)

Thanks! Tried the rice, but it didn't do anything. Looks like I'll just buy a new Ipod touch at this point.
