Sal just had a tick on his cheek and I removed the tic and I made sure to get the tics head. Sal has had a bad reaction to the tic bite and it scabbed up and the hair in the area has fallen out (area= to half a dime). I have treated with anti-biotic jell.

It was not a deer tic. I am wondering how long before his hair returns if ever. I have had dogs get bit by tics before but never had a reaction like this.

What do you guys think I can expect.

mine will sometimes get a 'lump', the hair usually does grow back. You can also try putting desitin (as in baby diaper reash creme) on it, to dry it out faster.

How about using K9 Advantix ? Before it, my dogs had terrible infections and hot spots from ticks and fleas. To me $2.50 a month is worth it over a vet visit and meds.
