Bird People...

How many of you have birds that you clipped there wings?
(Not including any you got with wings already clipped, unless you kept clipping them.)

Did you do it yourself or have a vet do it for you?

Reasons for clipping or not clipping them for those particular birds?

Also, what type of clip did you get? I mean, did you clip the primary feathers only, or the secondary feathers only, or both?

I have clipped my parakeets primary feathers myself always there much friendlier that way. My cockatiels for most part always have flight. so they can get to fly around my room there still able to be hadled. and my senegal parrot I have had him done by the people at the pet store a few times cause its hard to do myself and he will bite hard cause he knows when wing and nail clippings are coming. The reason i clip him is because he is a much calmer bird when he can only fly low to the ground.
