Analyze Oakley's poops for me...

Im guessing EVO is doing this...


but Oakley will poop & look like he is straining & they are pretty darn hard.

THEN, like 10 mins later on a walk, he will poop again & it will be rather watery!?


I was reading how EVO can harden stool, so you should feed the meal w/water, but I didn't want to make the second half (the diarrhea part, lol) even worse.


Sheesh, who knew you could go through constipation & then diarrhea that quick!

I was thinking there were pics, by reading the thread title.

No answers but I had the same problem with my dogs when I fed EVO ...

Do you add water to the EVO ???

Ive never had that problem with EVO....

I had that problem with one of my pups when they were on CA Natural. I added about a cup of water, almost soupy and it seemed to work.

I always add water and all is well . That's why I asked .

I feed EVO Reduced Fat, and I always add water. Looks like cereal.

could this be related to your other thread about the possible worms? i hope Oakley will be ok soon!

And I started (a few days ago), adding water.

I'll prob stick with the water anyways, cause I'm just always concerned about him getting enough...I'm sure he does, but sheesh, after going on like an hour run, he takes two sips & is done (while im chugging like 3 water bottles!!)

Does the EVO have a protein in it that is new to your dog? Almost sounds like an allergy or sensitivity, or maybe too rich fat-wise.

Gavroche has done that on some foods (namely Purina ONE and Authority), and has never done it on TOTW. He will, on occasion, when he gets nervous/excited poop so many times that he has nothing left but some liquidy stuff
