I'm in rescue, which I think is more costly here than elsewhere.

Our rescue group charges $200 for an adult dog of mixed breed or any supposedly purebred bully breeds, $300 for a purebred or small (under 30 lb) adult dog, $300 for a mixed breed puppy under 1, and $400 for a mixed breed puppy under 1.

ACC's fees are anywhere from $25 to $400, but I've never seen or heard of them charging more than like $200 for a purebred puppy. I think $400 is more of a "suggested donation".

$1,000-$1,500 seems to be the norm for Tervs around here.
Sounds about right for all the Belgians. You can find pet puppies for less sometimes but usually not by much. Except I have heard quite a few stories of working bred Mal litters that people can't even give away :(

PyrSheps seem in the same range as Belgians.

Papillons- I think $1000-$1600 is pretty normal. I've seen some from decent breeders as low as $900 and high as $1800 for pet pups. Show pups in my experience start around $2000.

I've seen zois range from $500 for an altered companion on a co ownership to $2700. A lot of it depends on the lines.

Aussies, BCs, and shelties all seem cheaper. Sport bred BCs cost quite a bit more than working BCs. Never seen a working breeder hit $1000 but some of the popular sports breeders are $1200-1800.

Working Aussies similarly seem quite a bit cheaper than the show aussies.

I haven't actually priced shelties yet. I'm sure they've gone up since we got Trey but he was only $400 from sport/show lines.

Summer was a deal at $500 but she was also an adult.

ACDs from a BYB or 'farm', somewhere between $200-400, from a show breeder, $900+, health tested/working like $500-$1200 (unstarted). It really varies with who you go to I guess.

I looked at different show breeders with Aussies locally and most wanted $1500-2500 or so.

Plotts... $150-$500 (yippee! lol)

as in, you can buy pups out of "nice pleasure dogs I just haven't had the time to title..." for $150... Rage's mother's (GRCH GRNTCH) last litter out of a nationally winning (show) GRCH NTCH sire went for $400 each. The dog who won the breed multiple years at Westminster I believe I saw a super nice litter of his go for $500.

(that being said, nice dogs that have proved they can win in the hunts go for closer to $2500/$3000 and up.)

English Shepherds are cheap! I would venture to guess the "average" is $500-800. I have seen cheaper (actually quite a few in the 4 range, so maybe my estimate is high), and I'm sure there are more expensive out there.

Finkies can run you between around $600 (which is what I paid for Kimma - but she has no AKC registration, though she came from AKC CH parents), through probably $1,500. Obviously the higher end would represent a dog sold for breeding/show. Pretty much everyone in the breed health tests (hips, patellas, elbows are all that are really needed with these guys) and shows, so that's including that in the breeding.

BYB border collies seem to be $200-$400, the stock dog people charge usually $500-$700 around here, if you're lucky one or both of the parents might have CEA testing, might not.

The show/working borders seem to be more around the $1000-$1500 mark depending.

One of our previous BC's that my stepdad had came from a lady who rides range for a big cattle outfit locally. I think she just gave him to him. Not papered, but they do real work and not just sport trialing to earn titles.

He had another one for a while that fell out of someone's truck on the road. That was one of the nicest BC's they've ever had.

And the one we had when I was growing up I'm pretty sure was free too. Again from a cattle ranching family with both parent's on site. Not papered, but he was a nicer dog than my parent's current dog in both drives and temperament and they actually paid for the current BC. *shrug*

Nice working line GSDs are $1200-$1500 usually. Mine was $1700 imported from Belgium but that included everything. Show lines are usually $2000 and up.

The Cardis are failed conformation prospects so they had all health testing etc, $500 for Eden and $600 for Poppy because of shipping in winter.

Finn is a cheaper sporter collie at $600.

Limit is pretty much what anyone can expect for working Kelpies, straight off the cattle farm. No health testing, $400 w full rights to do with him what I will.

I've seen decently bred working line Malinois and Dutch Shepherd puppies from anywhere from about 700-2000.
