Crumbly poo?

Does this mean bone content is too high? We buy pre made raw at the correct quantity, but Fred's poo is crumbly and he has been straining to pass it. Suppliment with cod liver oil and they get a bone once a week. Sometimes twice. Odd chicken foot. Kong with frozen wet food as he's crated for recovery. Every other day maybe.

Suggestions?

Bodhi doesnt appear to struggle. Fred had very very soft poo on his premium dog food, so its quite a change

I love poop that is dry and practically dusts away. If its ever too dry and begins to cause straining or bleeding then I would tweak the diet with more meat/fat and less bone.

yeah too much bone will do that, but if it's not causing problems mentioned above I wouldn't be too concerned, just vary the diet slightly. When I give big knuckle bones I also feed a lot of meat at that meal.

If I don't want to do that, i'll just open the good ol can of pumpkin and let them eat that.
