Sorry for making yet another thread, but I was wondering what does "part feral" mean? I know what feral is, but I don't think I understand what "part" feral is. Is it where they let their dogs run free, but they still call them theirs?

I've seen this put on dogster pages a lot and it made me curious.

it means wild..

feral = untame, wild

Could mean a wolf, fox, coyote..
Yeah, that's what feral means but what about part feral? So part wild right? but how does that work? I mean how can you have a dog that's part wild and part house companion?

No, no no :D

A WILD animal is just that - WILD. So think FOX, WOLF, HEDGEHOG etc

a FERAL animals is a DOMESTICATED animal that has gone wild/living wild.

I guess part feral is therefore when little fluffy has an encounter with the wild (yet domesticated - so NOT wolf/fox) dog that lives in the fields behind the house!

It is different to stray remember!

Cats are considered to be feral in many states, versus domesticated. Part feral is an idiotic statement put forth by an idiot!!!!! Roflmbo.
