lol yeah he's enjoying the life of a house pet . Little does he know he's meant to do one of the toughest jobs a sled dog can dog. Be a wheel dog.

he's not really that big he just looks it in that pic but he's in a ball. But yeah he did grow fast He's 6 months old now and gorwing im assuming normal malamute rate lol. Maybe i got a mutant. Those two other pics were him at 10 weeks!!! His back comes maybe alittle higher then my knee and then his head. Liek I've said before he's starting to out weigh some of the smaller dogs lol.

Lol I do often I can't beleive how big he has grown.

Wheel dogs are the two dogs you see closest to the sled pulling.

i was wondering what a wheel dogs was too. i want to do that one day but i dont live in a place that sledding is feasible

That would be a tough job. I'd think the physics of the whole set up is such that the two closest dogs exert the most effort, particularly in starts.

thats true renee and thats why you put the most physically able dogs to be wheel dogs. But you also want lenght in the traces so for the most part the weight is evenly distributed through out the team.
