JessLough asked me to post this for her.
Today, a bit earlier than expected, Jess said goodbye to her ferret, Rogue.
I'm beside myself about it as well. As most of you know (by Jess's sig pic, hee) we see all of our ferrets as, well, ours... so losing Rogue is close to me losing one, too.
Rogue had been fighting with a number of health problems over the past few months... some questionable lumps, mysterious asthma-esque breathing problems, and most recently, he was showing signs of adrenal disease. He was 5, and ferrets often go downhill around that time, unfortunately.
As most of you know, Jess went through many hoops to do everything she could for Rogue, but she knew it was time, and had him peacefully PTS today.
He's now wherever all good ferrets go, young and energetic, wardancing with his little brother Palom.
Here's some of our favorite pics of him that we got over the few months we got to spend with him.
Back together again. <3
RIP, little Rogue. <3 We will miss you so much, but are relieved to know you are at peace and can play without pain or suffering anymore. We'll see you again one day.
