Hey guys, it's been a while. I guess I'm in a bit of a nostalgic mood tonight and I remembered this place. Hope you're all well.
Back in January, my girl Bear passed away. We had taken her to the vet because she seemed to have lost her appetite, but it turned out she had a very aggressive tumour in her jaw which was making it painful for her to eat. Her days were numbered and before we could even process it, it was time. We had to say goodbye.
I figured I owe it to Bear to let you all know. I know I didn't write about her on here very much, and when I did I probably didn't do her justice, but she was truly the gentlest, sweetest-natured dog I knew. And she was goddamn funny as well - intentionally of course. For more than 5 years her dopey grin and soft eyes never failed to make things just a bit better, and I feel like I took that for granted. It's easy to underappreciate someone that brings us light in a subtle way, but it's harder to lose that bright spot and realize that you could have done more to return the favour.
I still don't know half of what I'm doing, or where I'm going. But as long as I'm creating smiles and laughter along the way it's all good. Take care everyone.
