a quick brag

We are still working on the jumping (thanks again for all the advice), but I need to brag about my dog Nanook's heeling. It is really important for me that she heels with a loose leash, particularly because I have been having back problems lately and I'm worried that it will become worse if she pulls on her leash. One of the worst times for her as far as heeling was concerced was in the woods while hiking - she gets so excited and wants to run around. Saturday and yesterday we went on two short hikes, and she heeled almost perfectly the whole time during both! Also, we went to get evalulated for an intermediate obedience class today, since she took a beginner class elsewhere a few months back, and she did well with heeling and pretty well (though there is room for improvement) with her stays with distractions, and will be allowed to take the class!
