Facebook is messed up.

This could go any number of directions. Take your pick.

But... Someone just shared a video of a child being abused and tortured by her nanny on Facebook. Graphic slapping, stomping and kicking of this child. I've seen photos of the Boston bombing victims. Beheadings. Naked celebrities. Abuse, porn, sexism, offense all sorts.

I've even reported some and many of the above only to be told they don't violate the terms.

Yet they remove photos of breastfeeding babies???!!

Someone enlighten me?

Messed up. Insane in the membrane. My friend shared this video to.. Open people's eyes?! I dunno... He's since removed it. But does this open people's eyes? Do we need to see rape, abuse and torture to know it's happening??? I work in the field and even I don't want to SEE it.

Ugh. I don't know what's wrong with people. I don't understand why we need to see these things plastered everywhere. Is it too shocking for some to believe that this is actually happening? Well, I guess I should be jealous at this much naiveté.

Maybe I am just 5 steps away from a burnout at work, but I can say that I don't even want to watch any "violent" crime movies/thrillers anymore because I am surrounded by that all day at work.

Give me boobies any day.

Maybe that's it jules. Maybe if you're around it you don't need to see it... Maybe it's perspective. It's hard enough sometimes without visualising these people actually carrying out these acts.

There are a lot of really bad dog ones too... dogs being prepared for meat purposes and puppies being thrown. Ick, why share it? What are we supposed to do? If it's possible to catch those people, they are caught and charged.

Shoot I don't even waste time reporting things anymore since it does no good ... I just hit the "I don't want to see this" or the "hide all posts from" options and that takes care of it for me, it's now I cleaned up my news feed from the hoard of repetitive political posts that were flooding my feed all the time.

I don't seem to have this problem, myself, on my newsfeed! If I see these things, it's usually in rescue related groups and pages.
