My pets in general. It's super hard for me to justify buying "big things" for myself (I haven't shopped at a regular store for clothes in a long, long time) but spend $70 on a new winter jacket for Buzz, sure!

I'm seriously bad.
This. I do this so bad. Both dogs and horses. I'm super bad about buying home decorations, picture frames and craft supplies as well!

One thing? Eeek I have a good handful :yikes
Yeah, this. I've definitely had to cut back on some things since starting college, but I still have several...
1) Dog stuff - this one's probably a little obvious.
2) Photography stuff. It's not a cheap hobby...I'm saving up for a new lens right now
3) Good food, and good coffee and tea
4) Hiking/backpacking gear. EMS is a really dangerous store to go into.

I kind of don't splurge on anything, really. There has to be something, but I can't think of it.

I get my eyebrows waxed at a salon. It costs $7. And I get it done about once every three months. Yes, I could do it at home, but my eyebrows are feisty and it's a lot easier for me to spend the money.

I buy pretty expensive eyeliner...like $18, but those cheap drug store eyeliners NEVER stay on for me. So again, worth it. And I buy it once, maybe twice, a year.

Everything expensive that I own has been a gift.

I buy tons, and tons, and TONS of books, but they're always used and typically cost under $1, sometimes maybe $5 or $6 but that's a book I need for book club or school. I have a ton (way, way, way too many) craft/sewing/scrapbook supplies, but I get them all super cheap or free.

I wouldn't mind paying extra for nice stuff if I thought it was worth it, like I find expensive clothes WAY more appealing than cheap clothing, but I get it secondhand for almost nothing, so I'm not going to pay a lot for it if I don't have to.

My number one splurge would have to be coffee, either a starbucks OR biggby. Second would be books. But with those I go through spurts. Third would be my dog shows. I love doing those, I just wish I had unlimited funds and time to do more of them.

I still splurge on the critters once in a while but for the most part I get a LOT of stuff from work free. Especially dog and cat treats and toys. I really do not need to purchase them. I splurge on bird toys and food like twice a year, but these are necessities. I was doing a lot of fish stuff but since I'm moving I'm keeping them as is for a little while.

I don't buy unnecessary things for the most part. I'm definitely not one to spend on myself much but I do go clothes shopping when the jeans get shabby, or I need shoes for work. I have a ton of dress shoes I don't wear really so even though I looove shoes, I try not to buy more. I do go for camera stuff every so often.

Purses-if I see a purse I love I'll think nothing of spending a few hundred on it. Animal stuff too, but the big expenses are dog classes and bird stuff. The dogs don't go through toys as rapidly as the birds do, and I can drop an obscene amount of money in fun perches, foraging toys, destruction toys, etc.

Oh, and books of all kinds. I can always justify spending money on books.

I'd have to say good food. I buy locally roasted fair trade coffee that I grind myself and fair trade chocolate, locally ground flour, and most of my other foods are local. I balance it by buying cheap stuff from the bulk bins, and buying meat maybe 2-3 times a year (and I don't mean a huge amount - I mean one pound of ground beef or one whole chicken). I guess meat would be my technical splurge, but that's almost always thought out and planned.

I'm not much of a splurger, as in regularly spending a lot of money without thinking about it.. I'm on a pretty tight budget, but there are definitely things that I try to organize so I can get, and I admit I have been relatively spontaneous about them a few times.

-Anything related to classic Hollywood. [This of course includes additions to my film collection, but also books like auto/biographies, photo prints, and various memorabilia.]

-Dog stuff! [Toys, treats, grooming supplies, etc., plus dog stuff for myself such as books.]

If it was within my means I would totally be a collar addict.

Books would also be up there, but fortunately I have friends who loan me a dozen books at a time, plus I love re-reading my favorite books.

Books...books...books. I splurge on books. I love the smell of new books and can't resist buying them. I still have boxes of unread books and am looking forward to my retirement day so that I will have all the time in the world to read.

Isn't that the truth :rofl1:. My birds far outdo the dogs with how quickly they destroy their toys (or figure out the foraging ones so they need new ones).

Here, fuel your addiction http://thingsforwings.ca/ :D They have the cutest toys ever.

I don't often splurge on myself. When I got my ipad (HUGE splurging, for me) I had sooo many gift cards that I only paid $70 for it :rofl1: but I do enjoy getting accessories for it, which I don't need.. I mean, who needs 3 cases :p lol

But dog stuff? That's another story! We'll be at the store, and I'll see a toy and think "Maddie needs this" although she most definitely does Not :p lol. And that goes for anything dog related...toys, collars, coats, shampoos, food, supplements, classes anything

Dog stuff is a biggie for me. I also like purses and expensive clothing. I have to wear suits and whatnot for work (have had to for 3+ years) so I regularly drool over stuff at the Limited, Banana Republic, and Express.

Nice clothes are going to be the death of me. I was such a tomboy growing up that I didn't care what I wore. On into high school and college I rocked the punk skater look which was pretty cheap. Now I'm shopping in stores I've never been in and drooling over nice clothes.

I'm hoping once I finally get my wardrobe up to adult status I'll be able to ease up on spending money for awhile.

I picked up my appetite for quality items from my parents lol they always believed in the "Buy a quality item now, rather than buying 10 cheap ones" philosophy. So I have the same kind of "Want something. Research. Find the best one. Buy it" kind of thinking. Which makes for less shopping, but still..sticker shock.

- Rent/City locations. I live in the heart of the city..and pay very dearly lol but I wil always splurge for locations.

- Technology. Apple products, camera..I like the shiny things that do cool things.

- Shoes. Heels. I only buy quality and only things that are classic (/will stay in style forever) soo..it creates quite the sticker shock.

- Jeans. Designer skinnies make me melt. J brand, seven, lucky.

- Books. they are everywhere. I like hard-covers.. I like used books.. so they aren't really a splurge but they are in total of just how MANY I have.

- Work-out clothing. Nike sports bras, shorts and running shoes don't come cheap. I love me some nikey.

- Classes/lessons: Mixed martial arts, piano etc.. I like to learn :) and like classes. They are a total splurge.

- International travel. I love to travel.. especially to London. I go there quite frequently and even with the miles.. ouch.

I can't walk past a charity shop without delving in it to look for clothes.... That's a sort of splurge/dirty secret. Hardly splurge really, more dirty secret :D
Ooh! Me too.

But when nobody's looking...

Purses. Not trendy expensive things with fancy patterns and gilded logos, but real purses for real people. Backpacks for hiking, messenger bags for walking, purses for everyday and small little things for when I have just too much stuff to fit in my pockets. But only two fancy small clutch purses for when I have to go somewhere dressed up (that I can't get out of). These purses all have to be comfortable to wear, and roomy enough to carry all my "stuff" without looking too bulky (although I'm still searching for a clutch purse that will fit my iPad). I have many. Many, many... many. So many I couldn't even give a number. The number is so embarrassing that if my husband were to walk into the room right now I'd quickly delete this post and surf porn, because it would be less humiliating that admitting to my purse addiction.
I like your posts, but I have to say. . . I read this, lost my **** laughing, and then went back to read it again. And again. :rofl1::rofl1: I LOVE this post.

I splurge on rent. I pay crazy amounts of money to live in a NICE place with NICE amenities that is bright and cozy and clean where I can't hear my neighbors. I hate paying my rent, but it's worth it. It's also gated, and I don't worry about my car being snatched. I can walk to the store, the mall, any number of shops and restaurants. Great for going to the bar!

I also splurged on a car that I don't need. It's completely impractical, way too fast, scary to insure, and has such a hard suspension it hurts my back sometimes. . . and you know what? It's worth it. Any time I can't spend money on something I want because I decimated my savings for my car loan I just remember that I'd rather go drive my car, anyways. And if I had to pick a favorite between the car, the BF, and the LBD? The car might win. That is how much I love it.

Now I want to know what you drive...

ETA: dog stuff, definitely... I am constantly buying them things, it's awful.
