Alcohol okay to flush ears?

Personally, I wouldn't use alcohol. It's very drying and injurious to the soft tissue. I have used vinegar and water to swab out the ears (with a cotton ball), but ONLY when the ears aren't irritated. If they are already red, itchy or burny from a yeast infection or whatnot, do not use vinegar. Then you need the Rx for that. But I just buy that ear wash stuff they make. It seems very gentle. And most of the time, I don't use anything...just Q-tips. I don't know any reason to flush, per say....as in dumping a bunch of liquid into the ear canal. Like I say, if there's something seriously wrong...an infection or extreme redness, itching....a vet should be seen.

Thats waht we use for patches after the vet recomended it because with the humidity and her ears she gets BADDDDDDDDDDDDD infections if we dont. It works great for our guys.
