Go on show em off!

What was your favorite shot of the year and why?

This I think is mine.
I like it because it pushed me outside my usual naturey, mute looking shots (I had to play with artificial light gasp!)
I also think it shows of Abe's personality well.

Maybe this? I haven't looked through my sets enough.

I'm not positive but I love the light and this is just... so Sloan.

Probably my favorite this year was something I shot of my nephew though.

I couldn't decide. I sat here staring at both pictures forever trying to chose, and then just decided to post both.

I love this one. I remember I worked this day, I was hoping that the frost would still be around by the time I got off work at noon and it was. I drove the 17 miles home and then the 15 miles back out to the park so fast because the clouds were starting to disperse and I was worried the sun was going to melt the frost before we got out there. I love the motion of the grass and Zuma looking into the wind with her ear flicked partially back. I love the expression and feeling of the photo.

We had stopped for a sporadic hike at Taylor's Falls on the way back from a friend's house for this picture. I was just randomly sticking Zuma on things and her stay had kind of dissolved at this point, hence her walking towards me. I'm glad it worked out that way because I love her expression and the motion forward, it gives the picture a completely different feel from a posed shot. I rarely edit things in black and white but it just worked so well with this one, kind of erased the river behind her and created a white canvas.

I have so many better pictures, better action, better backgrounds, not posed, just better. But when I saw this thread my mind immediately went to this picture. It just makes me laugh.

It's pretty much the only picture I've ever gotten where Traveler looks disgusted. He was SO grossed out by Didgie the first few days, didn't want her touching him, didn't want her near him, growled at her when he first met her. Just wanted her gone and gone now. And when I made him sit next to her because I wanted a picture of them together when she was little you could just feel the "God, no." coming off him.

I love that picture of Squash, he's such a character.

And Sara, I love that one Adrianne pulled so much. And I remember that day with the frost too and how hard you were trying to get out there, well worth it.

Linds....that picture is down right hysterical!

My favorite is not based on quality of picture--but on the feel of it. Baxter is just so happy in this that it makes me smile!

I had a really hard time deciding. (And I feel like I'm playing favorites lol).

It's just so...Murphy. I love the attention and focus I got (since he hardly ever looks at the camera directly) and that you can see the motion of his tail. And his ear fluff plus his goofy paw. Just...<3

Well it hard to choose one favorite. So here is one for each dog. These were taken with an old regular digital- not an SLR so the quality isn't as good as some, but I still like them.

Casper- like the background color

Joey because it shows his personality

Pongo on his 15th birthday.

Jack- just love how this one came out

Rocky- love the log

Ronon- love the background

This is probably one of my favorites. I made mugs of this picture and gave them to people.

This picture makes me happy.

I *love* this! I hope that the group pushes me to play outside my comfort zone...although, shooting manual is already there haha :)

*swoon* love this! I wish my dogs would just walk off things when they break their stays! Both Limit and Kastle leap like crazies and Eden crawls like she's had her legs broken and is afraid murder is close behind *sigh*

This is one of my most favorite picture of any dog, ever. The misery, oh the misery. :rofl1:

Thank you :) He looks soooo different now. All of his fantastic haloed mullet ear floofs are basically gone. I was lucky the sun was shining that day, I love how it makes his eyes look too.

The sunlight and the dust that we kicked up kind of ruined the clarity, but something about this I still really like.
