"Oskar" is a 4 yr old neutered male St. Bernard
He was owner surrendered due to his size.
Oskar's prior owner indicated he was good with other dogs, however, he has demonstrated some kennel aggression; lunging and growling at other dogs that are tied near his cage, or walking past, so it is unknown how he will do outside of the shelter.
He is house broken, walks well on leash. He does have a dominate natured personality, very insistent about what he wants and forget what you want. Owner put he is good with kids, as well as cats. The shelter has not seen any negative behaviors other than listed. They say he is definitely a St Bernard; in mind and body.
The same owner appears to have had dog for the last yr at least. (dog DOB 7-13-04). Last weight done 10-3-07 at 158 lbs. Last rabies vaccination given 6-27-08; good for 3 yrs. Dhlpp due 8-14-08. Last known heartworm test negative on 8-15-07; apparent preventative current, however, not surrendered with the dog. History of eye discharge, tx with Vetropolycin Bac Neo poly Ointment (antibiotic). All info listed above is off of vet records, copies of which will be sent with dog.
