Stuff to add to canidae (the reverse of the other thread) lol

is there anything I can add to canidae to help Maya gain some weight?! we are upping the amount she usually gets (3 1/2 cups /day) by a cup and a half. But I was wondering if there was anything to add to it to help?

Oil, its good for their coat and a great way to add calories.

like how much for 2 1/2 cups?
And should I do it with EVERY meal or just one meal a day?
ALso she gets 1000mg of Vitamin C with her evening meal.

I would start with 2-3 table spoons of fish oil (or flax, or hemp) each feeding.

We alternate between salmon oil and organic olive oil. We use around (estimated) 1 tsp (4mL) for Herschel's 1/3 cup of Canidae and a little bit more for Nala's 1 cup. We also supplement ground flax meal (stored in the dark).

Could you just feed even more? Some dogs just burn through food like that. Herschel, on the other hand, is constantly active and runs on so little. He's like the Toyota Prius of dogs.
