My Wal-Mart starting carrying Newman's Own Dry and Canned food, and treats. I won't feed it because they only had adult and senior formula, but is it any good at all.. I'm sure it is a big step up for Wal-Mart though.

It's not a bad food at all... my only issue with it are the amount of fillers in their dry formulas, and it is very low protein (21%). It's definately a step in the right direction for Walmart.

Here is the ingredients list for the canned chicken and brown rice formula:

Chicken & Brown Rice Ingredients: Organic Chicken, Sufficient Water For Processing, Ocean Whitefish, Brown Rice, Carrots, Organic Turkey, Oat Bran, Flaxseed, Dried Kelp, Guar Gum, Carrageenan, Potassium Chloride, Sea Salt, Minerals (Iron Amino Acid Chelate, Zinc Amino Acid Chelate, Cobalt Amino Acid Chelate, Copper Amino Acid Chelate, Manganese Amino Acid Chelate, Sodium Selenite, Potassium Iodide), Vitamins (Vitamin E, A, B12, D3 Supplements, Thiamine Mononitrate, Biotin Riboflavin Supplement), Choline Chloride, Tricalcium Phosphate

And here are the ingredients in the adult dry formula:

Chicken, Organic Barley, Organic Rice, Organic MIlo, Organic Oats, Organic Ground Flax Seed, Chicken Meal, Organic Brown Rice, Chicken Fat (Naturally Stabilized with Mixed Tocopherols, Citric Acid and Rosemary), Organic Carrots, Organic Potatoes, Calcium Phosphate, Sea Salt, Potassium Chloride, Kelp, Parsley, Dehydrated Lactobacillus Acidophilus Fermentation Product, Dehydrated Bacillus Subtilis Fermentation Products, Dehydrated Bifidobacterium Thermophilum Fermentation Product, Dehydrated Bifidobacterium Longum Fermentation Product, Dehydrated Enterococcus Faecium Fermentation Product, Zinc Amino Acid Complex, Iron Amino Acid Complex (Source of Chelated Iron), Vitamin E Supplement, Manganese Amino Acid Complex (Source of Chelated Manganese), Copper Amino Acid Complex, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Vitamin A Acetate, Calcium Ascorbate, Niacin, , Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Riboflavin, Folic Acid, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Thiamin HCL, Biotin, Cobalt Proteinate, Potassium Iodide, Sodium Selenite.

I just looked around online, and I couldn't seem to find a puppy fomula.

I've found that organic dog foods tend to be low in protein because organic meat is expensive, so then the food ends up being grain heavy. The food below actually has more grains than meat; after the water weight is cooked out, chicken is further down the ingredient list. Plus, the food has so many different KINDS of grains.

Chicken, Organic Barley, Organic Rice, Organic Milo, Organic Oats, Organic Ground Flax Seed, Chicken Meal, Organic Brown Rice, Chicken Fat (Naturally Stabilized with Mixed Tocopherols, Citric Acid and Rosemary), Organic Carrots, Organic Potatoes, Calcium Phosphate, Sea Salt, Potassium Chloride, Kelp, Parsley, Dehydrated Lactobacillus Acidophilus Fermentation Product, Dehydrated Bacillus Subtilis Fermentation Products, Dehydrated Bifidobacterium Thermophilum Fermentation Product, Dehydrated Bifidobacterium Longum Fermentation Product, Dehydrated Enterococcus Faecium Fermentation Product, Zinc Amino Acid Complex, Iron Amino Acid Complex (Source of Chelated Iron), Vitamin E Supplement, Manganese Amino Acid Complex (Source of Chelated Manganese), Copper Amino Acid Complex, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Vitamin A Acetate, Calcium Ascorbate, Niacin, , Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Riboflavin, Folic Acid, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Thiamin HCL, Biotin, Cobalt Proteinate, Potassium Iodide, Sodium Selenite.
