I decided to start a new thread for name ideas for my new foster pup.

I like the name Aslan, it's a Turkish name meaning 'lion'. I thought it would be nice to have a name from where the breed originated from.

or

Devlin, it's gaelic for 'fearless warrior'

What other names you guys got?

Aslan's the lion in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe--one of my favorites :) I'm a fan! (And I never knew it actually meant Lion--that's cool!)

I like Aslan--but will it be confusing to Tynan (sounding similar?)

Was looking at Turkish names--what about :EROL -Means "brave" in Turkish.

or

BERK -Means "solid, firm, strong" in Turkish.

I like Berk, a lot. Doesnt' sound any any cues, one syllable travels well if you have to call from a distance. Great name! Files away.

that's how I think about names--what could they be confused by, etc. I kind of like it too.

My old boss was a stickler for that when it came to the dogs he used for field trials. Nip, Tuck, and so on. He said you should never name a dog something that sounds like No.
