Our New Puppy--what is he!?!

We just got a puppy on Friday from a no-kill shelter. He is almost 11 weeks. He is 6 inches high and 10 inches long and 4.5 lbs. His mother was about a foot high and around 12 lbs. She was a schnauzer/terrier looking mix (not sure) she was dropped off while pregnant so we do not know what the father is--although the lady who runs the shelter guessed cocker spaniel. What do you think?

That's the cutest little eye in the second photo, and so sad that I think there's a spaniel somewhere in the mix. Only a spaniel can turn on the pathos that well.

My grandparents had a dog, "Fritz" who looked exactly like your puppy. Fritz was a cocker spaniel mix, therefore my guess is that you have a spaniel mix. Of course, I am no expert. After 9 years, I'm still trying to figure out what my dog is. Very nice looking puppy.

Looks like it could be a cocker mix. Looks kind of like my dog Baby when she was a pup and she is 3/4 cocker.

She sure is a cutie though!!

It will be easier to guess the mix when he is older. All I know for sure is that he is 100% adorable!
