At what age can you safely use a flea/tick

product like Advantage or Frontline on puppies? We live in an area with a lot of ticks and I've seen a couple of fleas on her. I'd like to get her protected ASAP.

Talk to your vet! Many of the products available can be used on puppies as young as 8 weeks of age. If you have fleas now, the problem will continue to grow. Make sure that you clean all of the bedding and carpets you have in your home, because once a flea infestation occurs it can be very hard to control.

Frontline Plus is labeled for 8 weeks and older, Advantage (only does fleas) for 7 weeks and older.
