Things that make you go...

Uh, wut?!

Customer today: "Isn't it hard to see all these dogs up for adoption at the events."
Me: "No, and I don't think that makes me callous. I participate in rescue. These dogs are all safe in a foster home."
Customer nods.
Me: "What kind of dog do you have?"
Customer: "A mini labradoodle."

Uhm, wut?! Are you effing serious?!

I forgot a classic!

Customer: "My dog is so picky, I have to put all kinds of stuff on his/her food just to get him/her to eat!"

I feel the dog on the end of the leash and wouldn't be able to count the ribs if I had longer fingers.

So I ask: "Is it possible he/she's just not hungry?"

And their world has ended. Fido is STARVING!

People always think their dogs are starving :/ I think 8/10 of the 'not eating' animals that are brought in are chubsters.

One time we had a woman come in with her dog on a prong collar and a flexi lead.

A couple came into the shelter today and asked if people ever put up postings for litters of puppies to buy.
