Medi-cal dog food opinions?

I am wondering what to do for my Zac, he is still chubby and I think he needs to go on better quality food?? He eats Euikinuba or however u spell it large breed right now. How is Medi-cal?? It is expensive only from vets.. does anyone have any good things to say about it? Do they have a reducing formula, anyone else have success trimming down a chubby doggie?

It's not any better than Eukanuba, in my opinion. The ingredients are pretty bad.

If I were you, I'd put him on a good quality adult food with a decent protein content (24% and up, higher is better) and low fat content (8-10%).
