Someone on this board pointed me to an AMAZING Australian company where I got Meg's sheepskin lined, oilskin coat. It absolutely rocked, and I really wanted to get a second. No fault of the coat's that it needed replacement - she wore it about 6 hours a day, all fall/winter/early spring for at least two years, and finally tore the oilskin on a roofing nail while climbing ceiling-high on the haybales. I'm pretty sure the company never planned on that sort of damage! I had the link saved, but the website was down and I couldn't find any other way of contacting the company. I think it may have closed.

This year's plan is to find some oilskin fabric for sale (easier said then done; I tried last year) and have my leather guy make her a replacement. I still have the old one as a guide, and he has the rest of the stuff to make it.

I do like the style Dekka posted a lot.
