I plan on getting a cardigan welsh corgi in 2-3 years. If a boy the name will be Poe. If a girl the name will be Stella. I want either a light brindle or a blue merle, haven't decided on color, yet.

I have three names at the moment that I really, really like for my next dog, dependent on her personality. There are two that I am pretty sold on, but I might come up with something better too since I still have a little while.

But other than that, I don't have a name picked out for a specific dog of a specific colour of a specific breed or anything. I just have a list of names I like for dogs of breeds that I know I will have.

I think it would depend on the dog's personality for a girl, as I have a few in mind. All random Finnish names :p

But my next Finkie boy (who knows when that will be - not for at least like 10 years LOL) will be Jari (pronounced like Yari).

Oh yes. I even have names picked out for dogs I'll never have. If I ever end up with a male rough coat merle BC his name will be Duck, which I've been hoarding since I was in 6th grade. If a male pyrshep were to fall in my lap, his name would be Sheldon. A white dane looking for a home? He/she will be called Beluga. For actual future dogs my list is very short and pretty much non-existent.

It's always subject to change, but IF I get a Poodle and it's female, I thought Simone maybe. If male, I don't know. Have to think of a French name I like for a boy. Even though I know they're really a German breed, I want a French name. If it's another Chihuahua, a Mexican or Spanish name probably like I already have for my two Chihuahuas. I love picking names to match their origin. But not always necessarily.

I plan on getting a female lab.

Preferably black, and if so, then she'll be named Olive. If she's yellow or chocolate then maybe Ellie, Rue or Vanilla.

I don't really want another male dog right now so I don't have any boy names picked out.

I had my future dog already named before we adopted Morgan. Yeah... that future dog name wasn't "Morgan". LOL! He just didn't fit that future dog name I'd already picked out.

Seriously, can anybody picture my Morgan as a "Roland"? :rofl1: :rofl1:

I do have a very short list of names that I'm saving for someday future dogs, though the likelihood of them ever being used is very slim.

ETA:
I accidentally posted my response before I finished the thought. :lol-sign:

"Roland" is still on the list for a boy, as is "Sander". (Neither of those fit a derpy boy very well, though, hence why Morgan is Morgan. :p)

For girls, I have "Sigourney" and "Lexi" that I really like. "Lexi" in particular I'm hoping to save for a blue merle herding breed/mix. Maybe.

I often pick out a name and then change it when I meet the animal (even my gecko was subjected to this, and was nameless for almost three days).

I only have male names picked out, as I don't really have any desire to own a female!

Leviathan - Lev will be what we use on a daily basis/recall though.

Zoltan if it ends up being another Kuvasz - Lev is for *ahem* another dog I have in mind.

My brother might be getting a corgi - he wants to name it Molly or Pixie. I'm calling it Miss Marpole though.

If he ends up getting a Italian greyhound/whippet (he met one yesterday and quite took to her surprisingly) - I am totally naming it Donatella or Miuccia XD
