How long will puppies survive without their mother (she has gone walkabout) How long before I should intervene and what should I do in the meantime? Please help I have 6 border collie puppies in this situation and they are 2 weeks old.

You need to have supplies together within 6 hours IMO to care for them every 4 hrs for the next two weeks until they're on solids.

Find the bitch.... but start thinking about getting supplies together. If you do find her wash her off with soap and water before you give her back the litter. Pay special attention to getting her feet clean.

If you don't find her
You'll need a human premie bottle
Leerburg | Bottle Feeding Puppies This has a great recipe for dog milk replacer and works way better than the powdered crap.

lots of rags to stimulate puppies to potty.

Good luck!

Agree; get a bottle and start feeding them. I've also found that goat's milk works as a great substitute. Be prepared to lose a lot of sleep over the next few weeks, as these guys need to eat and potty quite often in order to stay healthy.
