Redirect after posting

After posting, it used to redirect to that post. Now it goes to the top of the page on that thread. I think I noticed this about the same time as the new URLs.

Are you using quick reply or the regular posting page?

When I post, using Quick Reply, it goes to the bottom of my post I just posted.

And let's see where it goes using the "real" posting page....

EDIT: It goes to the top of the page, you're quite right.

That's annoying. I want it to go to my post every time I post - back to where I was. I view many more posts per page than the default so it can be a looong ways up to the top.

It's not a huge deal, though.

I know some forums have the feature that pops up:

"While you were posting, someone else posted, do you want to view the updated thread?" or something like that. That's a neat feature, too, but not a huge deal

Yea, it used to do that. And yea, I don't use quick reply.

Interesting. I just edited my reply, above, and it redirected me back to my post rather than the top of the page.

So I guess there are three redirects:

1. Using Quick Reply, it puts you to the bottom of your just posted post.

2. Using regular posting page, it puts you to the top of the page.

3. Using EDIT my post, it puts you back to your post (top of it).
