There is a designer dog registry... American Hybrid Club... or something like that. It is really sad, because it is completely pointless to buy a dog with papers from APR, ACC, APRI, etc... I don't understand why people would even want to register their dogs with these pseudo registries and give them their money.

I remember someone saying that they sent in pictures of their longcoated chihuahua to APR, and had it registered as a papillon (just to see if they would do it). They ended up getting the "papers."
