Ok, you all remember that thread I had about my friends who were looking for a beagle puppy? Well, they just emailed me and said that they had decided to go the rescue route after all and adopted a beagle pup from a very neglectful home. The vet said that had they waited a week longer, the puppy probably would have been dead. It hadn't had any of it's shots, it had worms and was just in very poor shape over all. They've had to take it back to the vet three times in the first week they've had him, but I guess he's doing much better now! I haven't seen him yet, but I'll try and take some pictures when I do.

It makes me so happy they rescued him.

So glad they helped out that beagle. It's no nice to hear happy endings. Please do post a pic when you see the pup.

It's beautiful. That was very thoughtful and considerate of them to rescue.

I'm glad they did, they were going to go to either a classifieds BYB or the pet store because there are no good breeders around here. Or at least none they had time to go to, but that all was covered in another thread.

I get to go meet it either tomorrow or this weekend.

Sounds great. If there aren't any reputable breeders around-- then, I'd say the best way to go is a shelter- smart of them, glad they did.

How cute! It makes me so happy to hear about homeless pups that find good homes.
