bath problem

what could i do when we put my dog in the bath because he keeps on
jumping out?

You could have one person help you, or two depending on how bath crazy your pup is, and they could sort of hold the dog while you bathe him.
The helper puts one hand on top of the back and one on the belly. A gentle yet firm restraint. Bathe while they are holding the dog.

Bathing can be a scary experience for the dog ; however, if you approach the situation calmly, and handle the dog gently, he will soon understand that no harm will come to him. After a couple of times he will become accustomed to having a bath and in a little while it will be absolutely no problem at all. Try to accustom the dog to the tub gradually. Put the dog in and out of the tub without bathing once or twice a week. At first just a minute or two and allow the dog to come out, at your command. Increase time and teach the dog to sit/stay and stand/stay while in the tub. Take the time to feel the dog from top to bottom, after the dog relaxes. Be sure to lift the feet, touch toes and toe nails, wipe out the ears, etc. Talk to the dog in a happy voice, tell him how wonderful he is and let him out. Praise again at that time. Remember, the time to adjust the water is before the poor puppy is in the tub or sink. Use a washcloth to wipe down the face so that water doesn't get into the eyes or nose of the puppy or dog. This will help him not to be afraid of the water. Every attempt should be made to make bathing a pleasurable experience . One more thing, it is always advisable to have everything prepared before you bathe your dog. Have the towel, treats, blow-dryer, combs, brush, cotton swabs, and dog nail clipper, set up and ready to go for when you take your dog out of his tub.
