Can anyone reccomend a Reputible Lab Breeder?

Hi all! I am looking for a new lab puppy. I was owner of a beautiful Chocolate colored Lab named Brownie, she passed away after having her for about 13 years. I am interested in getting a new puppy but I noticed most breeders don't mention the certification for their eyes/hips or they charge over $1,000, which seems alittle steep to me.

yes I would try finding a labrador club in your area, or even try the AKC website they can reccomend breeders for you. Also you can try looking in the magazines at petstores they usually will have reputable breeders in your area. Also try going to dog shows and meeting with owner's of labs. Do you want to rescue? I'm sure there is probably a lab or lab mix that would suit your lifestyle very well in a shelter near you. Try petfinder.com to look for shelter dogs near you, I'm sure they would be grateful to be rescued and would repay you a thousand times over!
