I need some good thoughts sent my brothers way please.
He went in to the doctors as he had big lumps on his chest that started hurting a bit. They did an x-ray, which they found the tumors on his lungs. Had him do a CT scan and my brother tells me "oh it's ok they are benign. " so I'm super relieved and happy.
Then I get a message from him saying he just got his results in and the doctors won't give him a straight answer. He said he misunderstood what the doctors said and what they meant was not to worry as it was likely benign, but they needed to do further tests.
So the CT results came in today and they won't say what it is, won't even make guesses for him. They scheduled him for an appt with a pulmonology specialist today yikes and an oncologist on Monday. His lung function is only 70% of what it should be, and they gave him an inhaler to see if it would improve and it helped only 1% increase.
So now I'm freaking out. I was so excited it wasn't cancer and now there's a good possibility it is. I figure they wouldn't schedule him for a cancer and pulmonology specialist so immediately if it wasn't something bad, right?
I'm just freaking out, and need some good thoughts. thanks!
