Bogart: He's an Appaloosa and I believe the darker areas on his face and legs are called varnish markings...

He was a Varnish Roan Appaloosa, he was a Mustang cross.

Rest in Peace Dust Bunny. I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my old girl of 24 years last year at about this time. I miss her terribly but am happy she is running free with the Angels. Maybe She and Dust Bunny are kicking up their heels together now. My thoughts are with you.
