Housebreaking Question

So I've apparently forgotten some things about housebreaking puppies, and I've got a question about my sisters puppy Dixey (she's 3 months old).

Sometimes when they take Dixey out, she will pee and poop. And not 10 minutes later she's peed in the house again.

Is this a not leaving her outside long enough to empty herself, or something like a UTI issue? I'm puppysitting her tonight, so I'm going to try a few things/let her out more often. She's fine in her crate holding it for 2-3 hours, and I think only wakes up once during the night to be let out.

If I were you, I would just play with schedules for a bit. Try different things - see what works.

It could be she's just not getting everything out because she's too excited. Or something inside excites her so she will wee. Did she drink water right after she came in, then 10 minutes later use the restroom? Did something frighten her?

Some dogs have to pee multiple times. IMO this is especially true with puppies, and small breeds.
