Puppy shedding...help

My pom is only 3 months old and already shedding. Especially under his neck and chest. He's very bare and pink down there. I know pomeranians shed at 4 months but my pom is not. I don't know if something could be wrong. Does anybody know if this is normal or is it to early? Thanks for any info.

Mike, it sounds suspiciously like an allergic reaction. What's he eating?

He's been eating Royal Canin vet diet for about a month now. But I just switched him over to Innova under recommendations from fellow pom owners. I did take him to the vet yesterday and he said my pom was normal. But, I'm very sketical. So anyway, He's eating something else now so I hope it'll help.

Hopefully it will do the trick. You might try giving him a bath with a colloidal oatmeal shampoo. He may have picked up an external allergen, especially since it's worse under his neck and on his chest, where he would rub across things and also lay down and force an irritant on into the skin.
