My friend's Saint (year old, neutered male) has been throwing up lately and his back end hasnt been working well..so she took him to the vet and they took blood from him....his protien levels were 22 and they are supposed to be 23 or higher.

What does this mean? and how can she fix it?

Hes also got xrays on his back end on friday

I would ask the vet. From my experience with my dog, the vet said that it's common to have protein levels that are slightly low if the dog has been vomiting heavily and/or not eating well. But truly, you need to have the vet explain it to you.
