Because you are a normal person.
It would be odd not to freak out about a commitment such as getting a new puppy, I would sincerely question your puppy-getting motives if you didn't. It means you will put everything you have into him and give him the best home that he deserves.
It's a relief to hear this is normal lol
Also.. when you got Zing, did you give her a day or two to settle in before you kind of socialized and took her out and about on your regular routine?
I am a bit worried because starting Monday (I fly back in from picking puppy up on Sunday) my life kind of is going back into normal mode. It's not that hectic.. but he will be going to work with me at a dog store, which is a bit dead on Mondays but still, it's a new place. and we are having dinner with my co-workers..
There will be plenty of quiet spots for him to escape it all (the store dog area is an enclosed area behind the counter where the store person sits, so it's not like he is going to be in the store with other dogs coming in/out all day. and the dinner is just a small work meeting) but I'm kind of worried about over-loading him.
I've been told not to worry since he is so used to being out and about at the breeder's pet store, family dinners etc..
but worrying is what I do best lol and it is a busy day for a puppy being out and about from 11 am-8pm.
