Took these pictures a couple days ago of him. He is 3 months old and doing very well with our show training lessons. He gaits and wags his tail, allows a judge to check his bite and stands like a statue - we need to work on the tail being up for stacking however lol. I think its his way of saying "I am in charge...admire my deadly cuteness nommmm!" or maybe its just the crazy voices in my head entertaining me LOL!!

Anyways here they are!!

Actually I lied he is 4 months.. just checked with the breeder lol. (I don't have his papers yet to go by to keep track of age). Jack weighs 3lbs and should be about 5-5 1/2lbs when fully grown. :)

very nice head/stop on him!
hes a very pretty pup, I LOVE merle and if i ever decided to get another chi i want a longhaired merle, just be aware that Some judges wont place a merle chi because of the controversy behind the origin of the color, dont let it discourae if its the case, hes got great potential.

Thanks!!! His breeder has a Long Coat Merle bitch bred at the moment that I am hoping will have a long coat black and tan bitch for me. I won't get her if she is born until she is about 8 months old. I got Jack early because I babysat him while his breeder was at Westminster and he just never went home!! LOL

I know about the controversy but am not scared of it, there are plenty of Merle friendly judges such as David Miller who welcome these lil guys with open arms. I am hoping Jack will help pave the way for Merles with the others that are up and coming out there. :)

He's very pretty! I really like his head, looking good to me! Don't know much about Chi conformation though, lol.

OH what a handsome guy he is. LOVE the stacked shots. Too freaking adorable.

I know what you mean with the tail thing. That was my problem with my male as well. LOL.

My guy at about 10 weeks. NOPE, tail NOT gonna go up.... :rofl1:

Good luck with showing!!!! And I love his coloring as well.

Thank you. He is a chocolate fawn. His color has lightened up quite a bit since he was born.

He was my show prospect, and I'd still love to get into showing some day, but due to my current living situation and some personal things going on, the idea has hit the back burner, unfortunately.

You have to keep us updated on your little guy. Pics included. :D

Aww it happens unfortunately... :(

Jack's breeder is willing to help me out financially if its ever needed to get him shown. She wants to assist with entries for an up coming show but I would prefer to pay for it myself lol. I like to be independant if possible. So his first show may happen in May in Alexander NY.

I love Chocolate Fawns. My first chi was a chocolate fawn - he is pet quality though (Parents bought him for me years ago from a byb). He is the reason I fell in love with these lil guys along with my Pyrs. :)

Well, that is really nice of her for sure. Wow.

I'm in love with chocolates in general. My chi/min pin mix is chocolate and tan. I love merling. In fact, I think a chocolate merle would fit in this household pretty well, haha. I can dream cant I? lol.

My first pure bred chi was black. Ever since him I've been obsessed with these little guys. Sweetest dogs you can meet.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of Jack...
