...as we were setting up for our last run thru last night, the Springer from our group came over and did a beautiful front and totally blew his owner off when she called him back (he's almost deaf and I had treats in my pocket). So we decided to try Rally Pairs with him and Caleb. Started out with Caleb next to me, and Fletcher on the outside. By the time we got to the first sign, Fletcher was next to me. Caleb, being the Momma's Boy he is, decided his place was on my right side so he could be next to me. We laughed our way through a bunch of Novice level signs, including a left spiral, a Halt, Down, Walk Around, and a Left About Turn. Since we were just goofing around, I didn't press for a perfect right heel position from Caleb. After we finished, both dogs "got paid", then Caleb & I did the course "for real". And Caleb was pretty much flawless. In other words- he was himself.
