She does look like a purebred GSD yes, at least as far as those pics go.

I would just knock on the door and take it from there.

I know but I just dont understand how people can let a dog go..
How much time am I suppose to be there? What am I suppose to do to?
I am one of the people who get scared and start saying dumb stuff and tripping over my words

I already asked questions like that..
His wife says they have too many dogs (3). Each of their boys have one and his being the youngest..
Does that sound odd to yall?
Sounded normal to me..

I would say it sounds "normal" in the sense that they didn't think things through very well before they got the third dog *shrugs*

I would still spend a little time around them and the dog, see for yourself if the dog 'acts' as they say it does. Tell them you would like as much info as possible on the dogs behavior/temperament etc...I mean you will be the one caring/training this dog, it's best to start out knowing as much as possible.

Probably won't help any, but when I adopted Bimmer I ended up being asked to stay for dinner . . .

Just ask them to tell you about her, what she likes, dislikes, if there's anything that makes her nervous or uneasy (like thunder), if there are any foods that disagree with her, what her favorite treats are, any special kind of toys she likes . . .

Also be prepared, that they may just hand her to you and that's the end of it for them. Depending on how they feel about the situation, they may not want to "chat".

*shuts door*

It could go down like that :( If they want rid of the dog because the dog is causing problems (due to their lack of training)

If they truly care about what happens to the dog they will invite you in and WANT to know more about YOU just as much as YOU want to know more about the dog.

Also, I would ask for medical records, vaccination proof, things like that if they have it.
