Anyone have any recipes for homemade dog biscuits/treats? The monsters are hungry...and I'm bored...

Thanks a bunch!

I have a bunch! Most of mine are made with organs of some kind, and garlic, so they don't exactly smell pleasant (to us humans).

These smell really good, and the ingredients are healthy.

You need:
1 cup water
1 cup quick oatmeal
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
3-4 tbsp peanut butter
1-2 tbsp cinnamon
3 cups wheat flour
1 egg

Glaze (optional):
1 egg
2 tbsp milk
1 tbsp cinnamon

Directions:
Boil water in sauce pan, then add oats and butter. Let oats soak for 10 minutes. Stir in salt, milk, peanut butter, cinnamon, and egg. Mix, then add flour, one cup at a time, until dough is stiff.

Knead dough on a floured surface (heavily floured, trust me) until smooth, about 3 minutes. Roll to 1/2" thick. Place on greased cookie sheet. Brush glaze onto dough with a pastry brush. Cut out cookie shapes now! Bake in pre-heated 325* oven for 35-45 minutes. Cool and serve!

Here is a recipe for chicken liver cookies, but beware, the smell is VERY strong. My dogs would kill for these, though!

You need:
Chicken livers (the standard pint-sized container)
4 whole eggs
3-4 cups of Oatmeal (or as much as it takes to thicken it)
1 cup milk
3 tbsp fresh minced garlic
Wheat flour (this is optional, if you need to make them a little stiffer)

Combine livers, eggs, milk, and garlic in a blender or food processor. Liquify! Stir in oatmeal and flour. Cut into cookie shapes, or put them in a muffin pan. Bake at 325* until golden brown.
