My best friend has recently begun to foster animals at the shelter. She mostly does pregnant animals and newborns and things like that. So far, she's fostered out a newborn puppy whose mother would nurse (the puppy, which they called Chunks, has been adopted =) ) and a 14-year-old chihuahua who is still looking for a home.
