Hi All,
I figured it was time to actually join in on some of the great conversations around here! I actually joined this forum in 2009, but rarely posted, and then just eventually stopped even checking in. Anyway, I figured it was time to jump back in!
I know quite a few of the members here from blogger land, or other forums, but I'll introduce myself anyway! My name is Amanda and I live in Alberta, Canada.
I have five dogs, and we compete in various dog sports. My dogs are pretty well the center of my life. lol. I teach training classes most evenings, and work at a dog daycare. I also volunteer with a local dog rescue. I am kept pretty busy with all of that, but I figure if I've got enough time to blog, I've got enough time to maybe make some new friends!
Looking through the other posts I can see you all like photos, so here is just a quick introduction about each of my dogs.

Wicca just turned 8 years old and is a Cardigan Welsh Corgi. She is my first Cardigan, and my first serious agility dog. I love her to bits, and recently made the very difficult decision to retire her from competitive sports. She has earned a whole slew of titles, but her breakneck speed and no care for her body have caused injuries that keep flairing up. Although she loves the game, it's just not safe anymore. We've just started tracking- it's low impact, so hopefully she can play at that well into her senior years.) She seems to like it, so we'll see how far we go with it. My hope is that will keep her mentally busy so she doesn't drive me crazy! She is a very busy dog, and even at 8 years old is a handful.

Boone is an 8 year old Pyrenean Shepherd. I got him as a rescue just over four years ago. He is a great dog- funny, charming, sweet, and affectionate. But he is pretty fearful. He has come a long way in four years- when I got him he was terrified of everything and everyone. Now he likes to meet new people, and even earned Agility and Rally titles. Pyr Sheps are a funny breed- with lots of personality, and Boone is no different. His quirks are mostly very charming. He is super smart, but due to his fearful temperament hasn't been able to showcase himself to his full potential. He mostly is a house dog now, only coming out to do demos, and the odd class just for some low stress fun.

Vito is five and is the cutest dog in the house. And he knows it. He is a Border Collie/Corgi cross that I got as a rescue when he was a pup. He came from a very bad situation that he has never really gotten over. He can be shy of new people, but has learned some great coping skills so mostly you wouldn't even know he is insecure. Although you'd think with a cross like that he would be a fire cracker he isn't. lol. He is the laziest dog ever, and only listens half the time. He gets by on cuteness alone for the most part. He is the best snuggler though, and is the dog always at my feet.

Pixel will always be the baby in the house. She is a three year old Cardigan Corgi that will forever remain the Princess. Pixel is a very fun little dog- always happy, willing to work, and with a great temperament to boot. I adore her, and already have had many successes with her in multiple competition venues. I get asked about her coat a lot- yes, she is a Fluff. Fluffs aren't showable in conformation but her glamourous coat doesn't get in the way for the fun stuff! I am very lucky that her breeder was willing to send her to me. It was only because of the coat that I got her!

And last, but not least is Brit. Brit came through my rescue and I could not pass her up. I loved her instantly. She is a 2 year old Border Collie. She was an owner surrender- with the typical excuse of not enough time. She hasn't looked back though, and is doing great. Brit is very happy, loves everyone she meets, and is just sweet. She never thinks naughty thoughts (even while herding!), and is just a very honest little dog. I've had her for almost a year now. She is super smart, and fun, and I adore her.
And that's the crew! They have all taught me a lot, and certainly have all had their challenges (except Brit, so far so good. lol). They are a great bunch of dogs, and I can't imagine my life without them.
I am really looking forward to meeting a diverse bunch of dog lovers- forums can be a great place to share ideas, photos, opinions, and just talk about dogs!
I've got to go do some reasearch to figure out how to get a signature, and I'll add in my blog etc. there. Do you guys typically have your dogs titles and stuff in your signature? I don't want to waste space (or appear conceited! lol) if that's not really done here. Let me know!
