Grain free during pregnancy?

I have contacted Natura regarding EVO during pregnancy and they say it's a good choice. They have also completed food trials for all life stages with EVO, so it has been fed to pregnant and lactating dams in order to get the All Life Stage Label. With that said, I have read all over the place that pregnant females need more carbs during pregnancy. Anyone know if EVO has enough carbs at 12%? I was considering Orijen too at 16% carbs. Orijen said that they do have breeders that feed the food successfully.
