Is he blind ?

I just bought a Jack Russell puppy. Supposedly 1.5 months old. I have been noticing that he just walks around and whines. He only responds to sounds ! I move objects and stuff in front of him, but no real response. I try shining a flashlight in his eyes, and no real response. When are his eyes supposed to be 100% ? This is just a quick question until I visit the vet tomorrow. Please help

hard to say, the vet will be able to tell you though, is he bumping into things like walls dorrs etc?

i don't know much about that breed but i though all dogs eyes were ok by the time they were that old? atleast enough to react to things

at 6 weeks of age they should be able to follow objects in front of them. While still clumsy as pups I think he should be responding to things in front of him, especially at play time. let us know what the vet. diagnosis! did the breeder you got him from have any health guarantees or a policy where they take back pups if any problems arise for you?
