I want to get a little p&s camera that takes decent-great photos, and possibly be able to make videos. I have a Nikon D40, but I want something a little smaller I can have on me and not worry about the dogs wrecking it. Photo shoots have to be planned, (good weather, do I want to load up camera and bring it with me) vs. something I can shove into my pocket real quick.

Want to spend @ $100 or so. Most subjects would be dogs, and kids.

Thanks!!

My mom has a Nikon Coolpix and I strongly dislike that camera. It's extremely confusing to me and the picture quality isn't that great.

Canon all the way. I'm still so, so disappointed my Canon broke. I wish I would have dished out the $200 to get it fixed instead of buying a new camera.
