Things have been insane busy around here, but I've been spending a ton of time working with Finn, and I'm proud to say he's graduated back to offleash hiking! Finn and I headed out to the Greenbelt early this morning after a rescue transport with two of my co-workers and their dogs: Bentley (ACD x), Ozzy (merle Aussie), Zephyr (chocolate lab) and Cricket (dachshund with a quarter Alaskan Husky. Yep.)

Great trails! Some swamp, some woods and some sun, with a little beach in the middle. Finn SWAM for the first time today, but only briefly. He mostly stuck to submerging himself up to his belly, but that's WAY better progress than ever before!

what an awesome little 'pack' you had. Seriously looks like the perfect day.

I wouldn't believe it if Nat hadn't seen it with her own eyes! She used to work on a slad dog farm. The farm pet dogs were dachshunds. Grandpa doxie got a hold of an Alaskan female, and the resulting offspring bred once with another farm doxie. Thus, Cricket.
